Will you be hosting any festivities this year for friends and family? Or keeping it tight?
We’re gonna be in Aspen. We were in Aspen last year, and it was cool, but we didn’t go anywhere. Well, we went to this one place that’s amazing—it’s like a roller coaster, but in the snow. It’s freezing, but my kids loved it. We’re going to go to the mountain, too. I’m an après-ski girl.
Do you enjoy Après-ski style?
I’ve kept all my clothes since I first started going to Aspen. And I’m not going to say how many years that is, because I don’t acknowledge I’ve been on this earth that long! I have this one Chanel outfit that I live for, that I bring every year. I keep them in really good shape. Last year, I didn’t buy myself that one special thing, because I actually felt like it was superfluous. Like, where are we going right now? But this year, I’m going to have fun with it. I just went and looked at my clothes online to figure out how we can mix things up, and bring a new piece of fabulosity to it. Right now I’m wearing my Louis Vuitton Moon Boots, they’re black with faux fur. I wore them tonight in L.A. because it was freezing, and they spiced up my ensemble.
A few final holiday questions. What do you want for Christmas this year?
I want a peaceful, calm Christmas, where I can enjoy the beautiful surroundings and people will be nice to each other. These are the things I didn’t have as a child. I’m buying myself a hot tub for the new house that I just bought in Atlanta—that’s my gift to me. But I’m not looking for anything else.
That really is the true meaning of Christmas—not the gifts, but being thankful for what we have. Why do you think that’s especially important to remember this year?
We’ve had a rough two years, and that’s an understatement. But this year is going to be more fun. It’s going to be better, I believe. I love the holidays, they’re my favorite time of the year, but what I really live for is the tropics right after.
Oh! Love that. Where are you going to go?
I go wherever somebody is inviting me. I love the beach, and I love the holidays. I love both. But I’m a sucker for Christmas. People think I’m making it up, but I’m really not!
