Now, however, the Made In Enameled Cast Iron Dutch Oven is finally back in stock for you to snatch up. This restock is a little different than the original launch which featured a blue Dutch oven with a black interior. Instead, the Made In Dutch Oven now has a totally new style with a white interior. Plus, they’ve launched a brand new Red oven in addition to Blue for anyone who likes bold pops of color in their kitchen. If you’ve been searching through the best Dutch ovens and not finding the right fit, then this French-made Dutch oven might just be perfect for you.

As you are probably aware, most French-made Dutch ovens can cost up to $400. And while they’re worth the price, we love that this Made In option delivers French-made quality at half of that price tag. After four years of customers requesting Made In to make this essential piece of cookware, they finally partnered with a company in France that has been making enameled cast iron for over 100 years, they told us last month. With this level of anticipation, it’s no surprise that these Dutch ovens flew off the shelves when they were launched!

This enameled cast iron Dutch oven fits 5.5 quarts and features the same rounded lines of a Le Creuset, as well as the cast iron design and smooth enamel surface that we love. It also has raised studs under the lid similar to a Staub, which are used for catching liquid and letting the condensation drip back onto food while cooking so your food doesn’t dry out.

Like any Dutch oven, this one is great for searing, braising, baking, sautéing, and more. When put to the test, we found that it heated evenly, retained moisture, and didn’t scorch any food. Above all else, we especially loved how it seared meats, giving food a deep and even caramelization. And even with such perfect browning happening, the surface instantly deglazed with just a splash of wine.

While we’re already clearly huge fans of this newest addition to Made In’s cookware, we especially love the newest style. This Dutch oven is beautiful enough for serving food directly from it at the table. And with Mother’s Day and Father’s Day coming up, it could be the best way to say thank you to a food-loving parent!
