Last night in L.A., Megan Fox showed up in an almost naked ensemble to the Mugler x Jimmy Choo collaboration party. While she was clothed, her lingerie-inspired Mugler ensemble was all about the body reveal underneath. She paired a paneled mesh bodice with a micro-mini leather skirt and sheer tights.
Mugler designer Casey Cadwallader has made this type of bodycon silhouette his signature, and there’s nobody more suited to his alluring designs than Fox. Remember when she showed up to the 2021 VMAs in a barely-there, instantly-viral Mugler dress? Fox’s fashion aesthetic—let’s call it tasteful racy—is shaping up to be one of the sexiest, and most fun, in Hollywood.
However, while her recent outfits often leave little to the imagination, they are never totally crass. Fox has this impressive ability to tone down even the most revealing of ensembles, favoring a head-to-toe black palette to do so. When she attended Dolce & Gabbana’s fall 2022 menswear show in January, she sat in the front row wearing a black lace camisole with black, laced-up leather pants. For an UN/DN LAQR event in December, she sported a black Givenchy. leather blazer as a dress, forgoing a top underneath in favor of a discreet body chain. These looks strike the perfect balance between showing skin, but not too much.
Fox recently told Vogue that her new fashion image helps her reclaim a sense of power. “As an actress, I had been classified or put in the category of being a sex symbol… [Fashion] wasn’t something I was focused on,” she said, adding that her fiancé Machine Gun Kelly and stylist Maeve Reilly have pushed her to wear clothes that simply “let me be me.” She adds, “Being with him… has freed me up to express myself more. [Maeve] wants to dress me the way that I feel.” And judging by her slew of winning fits, she’s been feeling fabulous.
