Jeopardy Clip Goes Viral for No One Recognizing Machine Gun Kelly

Spread the love

So, Machine Gun Kelly came up as one of the answers to a Jeopardy clue the other day, but unfortunately, none of the contestants seem to have any idea who he was. Like, the general vibe was definitely one of whomst? which, rude! How dare!

Anyway, the clue, worth $800, was “The stage name of this rapper and actor gets shortened to MGK.” To be fair, this could be tricky if you’re used to calling Machine Gun Kelly by his given name, but something tells me the contestants had simply never heard of him. Mostly because the clue was also paired with a literal photo of Machine Gun Kelly’s face, and no one was able to identify him. As guest host and clear MGK stan Ken Jennings mused, “Not fans of Machine Gun Kelly, apparently.”

Obviously, the clip went viral at once on Twitter:

But Machine Gun Kelly’s fans have his back, bless:

Anyway, Machine Gun Kelly hasn’t spoken out about this slight, but clearly the time has come to listen to his song “Papercuts” (with Travis Barker) in solidarity:

Also, while we’re busy talking about long-running game shows that my parents watch religiously, did anyone catch the Wheel of Fortune drama last week? Because that was also a whole thing, and resulted in Audi giving a contestant a free car purely due to Twitter pressure. Primetime game shows are simply doing the most right now!
