Though the brand hasn’t shared the announcement with its 3.8 million Instagram followers yet, WWD has revealed that Jacquemus’ foray into beauty will be in partnership with Puig, a Barcelona-based family-owned fashion and fragrance business. The company owns beauty lines of luxury labels like Paco Rabanne, Dries Van Noten, and Carolina Herrera (therefore, Jacquemus is in good hands). WWD also reports that the beauty is expected to drop sometime next year—meaning, there’s some time to dream about what’s to come and, of course, clear some space in your collection, too.
Will it be fragrance? Or perhaps ultra-glowy highlighters? Maybe perfectly pigmented blushes? Well, one way to gather potential insight is by brushing up on the label’s past runway shows and editorial shoots. When it comes to the brand’s beauty moments, designer Simon Porte Jacquemus isn’t one to go over the top. Oftentimes, models are photographed with healthy-looking, radiant skin, and very little eye makeup (if any at all). That said, the upcoming line likely won’t be featuring intense palettes or heavy foundation.
Whatever is coming our way, we know the packaging will be as luxe as ever (we don’t expect anything less from Jacquemus, after all).
