Television’s A-list returned to the red carpet in spectacular fashion at the Emmy Awards on Sunday, trading up from the pajamas and hoodies worn at last year’s subdued virtual event.
The who’s who of the small screen reveled in the opportunity to make a glamorous comeback as they descended upon LA Live in downtown Los Angeles to kick off the 73rd Annual Primetime Emmys ceremony.
The Queen’s Gambit star Anya Taylor-Joy dazzled in a showstopping halter Dior Haute Couture gown with a bold coat, while Catherine Zeta-Jones in Cristina Ottaviano, Kate Winslet in Armani Prive, Kerry Washington in Etro and Kaley Cuoco in Vera Wang also turned heads.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were a still a ‘limited’ number of guests (about 500) and nominees on the red carpet as well as event staff.
All attendees had to show proof of vaccination and a negative test result.
