Last year, Bob had a heart attack on the set of Better Call Saul. It sounds like it was pretty rough, but thankfully he survived it.

In a new interview with the New York Times, the actor shared what happened that day on set, and how his fellow cast and crew took care of him.

Odenkirk says that the heart attack happened after shooting all day, when he decided to kill time in a space near his co-stars Rhea Seehorn and Patrick Fabian, instead of in his trailer.

“I went to play the Cubs game and ride my workout bike, and I just went down, he explained. “Rhea said I started turning bluish-gray right away.”

Seehorn and Fabian got help, and set health safety supervisor Rosa Estrada and assistant director Angie Meyer applied CPR to Odenkirk, while also shocking him with an automated defibrillator.

The first two attempts at starting Odenkirk’s heart failed, but, “The third time, it got me that rhythm back,” he explained.

Odenkirk spent a week recovering in the hospital and is since back to good health. I’m glad he’s OK!
