The 2022 Oscar nominations are here! The film ‘King Richard’ was named in several nominations, including the highly respected ‘Best Picture,’ ‘Original Screenplay’ and ‘Film Editing.’

Beyoncé added another accomplishment to her resume with her first Oscar nomination for the ‘Original Song’ category! The nominated song is ‘Be Alive’ on the soundtrack of the ‘King Richard’ film.

Meanwhile, Will Smith and Denzel Washington received nominations in the ‘Actor in Leading Role’ category! The Academy nominated Will for his role in ‘King Richard’ while Denzel received a nomination for ‘The Tragedy Of Macbeth.’

Aunjanue Ellis scored a nomination for ‘Actress in a Supporting Role’ for her role on ‘King Richard.’

‘Summer of Soul,’ a film about the 1969 Harlem Cultural Festival in NYC, landed a ‘Documentary Feature’ nomination! Attica, a film about one of the largest U.S. prison riots that happened at Attica Correctional Facility, also received a nomination for ‘Documentary Feature.’
