If we had to sum up May’s Aldi Finds in just one word, it would be variety. Our sources recently shared the upcoming list of new and returning groceries this month and the options are plentiful. We’re talking six different pizzas, four kinds of burgers and flavors of sausages, three types of marinated shrimp, two heat-and-eat ramen kits, and countless German-inspired items. We had a very hard time narrowing things down. Of course, we did (that’s why you’re here). These are the 10 upcoming Aldi Finds we’re most excited about for May. Let’s take a look!
1. Deutsche Küche Warm Potato Blend, $2.99
Aldi’s German roots are currently on full display across the store. Think: snacks (including this chef’s favorite pretzels), sides, soups, desserts, and more if you can believe it. This warm potato blend — made with fried potato slices, scrambled eggs, onions, and spices — is how we want to start our day. It’s ready in 10 minutes and it’s available in the freezer section starting May 4.
2. In Real Life Food Miso Ramen Kit, $4.49
Ready in minutes, this miso ramen kit is vegan. The miso broth, made with soy, promises spoonfuls of umami flavor. It, along with its spicy chicken counterpart, will be available in the refrigerated section starting May 4.
3. Mama Cozzi’s Artisan Style Crust Four Meat Pizza, $5.29
This is just one of six (yes, six!) different pizzas hitting shelves this month and it’s a meat-lover’s mash-up. The artisan-style crust is topped with a roasted red pepper sauce, Italian sausage, dry salami, pepperoni, and bacon, along with mozzarella, smoked Gouda, and parsley flakes. It will be available in the freezer section starting April 25.
4. Beyond Meat Cookout Classic Plant-Based Burger Patties, $15.38
There is no shortage of burgers coming to Aldi either, including patties made with turkey, beef, and plant-based meat. These Beyond Meat burgers contain no gluten or soy and will be available in the freezer section starting May 11.
5. Amylu Cowboy Roasted Corn, Poblano & Cheddar Chicken Sausage, $5.89
Sausage fans, we see you! These Cowboy Roasted Corn, Poblano & Cheddar Chicken Sausages are made with chicken raised with no antibiotics. They’ll be available in the refrigerator case, along with the Caramelized Onion, White Cheddar & Red Pepper Chicken Sausages and two other flavors on May 25.
6. Fremont Fish Market Adobo Jumbo Marinated Shrimp, $6.49
Like their coconutty cousins, these jumbo shrimp can be found in the freezer section. But in place of breading, you’ll find three enticing marinades to choose from: Adobo, Tandoori, and Garlic & Herb. All are deveined, butterflied, and will be ready to cook starting May 11.
7. Briannas Rich Poppy Seed Dressing, $3.12
8. Clancy’s Roasted Sweet Corn Popcorn, $2.49
Air-popped and lightly seasoned with the flavor of roasted sweet corn, this might be the corniest popcorn that ever did pop. As sweet corn season comes into its own, celebrate with a bag of this ready-to-go stuff starting May 11.
9. OREO Ice Cream Cake, $14.98
This creamy vanilla ice cream cake is both studded with and enveloped by OREO cookie pieces — as it should be. It’s also topped with whipped icing and, oh, what’s that? More cookie pieces! Find it in the freezer aisle starting May 25.
10. Daily’s Poptails, $15.99
These alcohol-infused freezer pops (aka poptails) come in a variety pack of three flavors: Strawberry, Green Apple, and Watermelon. All sound equally refreshing, but let us know if you have a favorite once they hit freezers on May 4.
