Wet n wild lipsticks - Smokin' hot pink 905D and Cherry Bomb 918D

In the world of makeup Wet N Wild needs no introduction. It's a brand which provides makeup at very reasonable prices with so many options to choose from. Wet n wild cosmetics is also famous for MAC dupes, as you will get a dupe for almost all MAC lipsticks in wet n wild lipstick range. Whoaaa isn't that amazing!! ;)

Well I have a post coming up on that too where I will be showing the almost all the MAC lipsticks which have a dupe available in Wet n Wild, that too with names and probably with lip swatches.
But in today's post I am reviewing only two wet n wild lipsticks in shade Smokin' Hot Pink 905D and Cherry Bomb 918D, as these are a latest addition in my vanity.

What the brand says:

These 4-hour, long wearing lip colors leave a semi-matte and creme finish in one stroke. Glide on easily with rich, velvety color. These don’t cake, bleed or feather.

Made with hydrating skin care ingredients like Hyaluronic Microspheres, which provides extraordinary adhesion to lips, natural marine plant extracts, which Coenzymes Q10 and Vitamins E and A help smooth lips and an exclusive polymer complex, which offers cushion-like feel and texture.

Packaging:

These lipsticks come in a black bullet packaging with transparent cap. Initially these were packed in a transparent plastic which also has list of all ingredients and name of shade.

Ingredients:

Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Ozokerite, Pentaerythrityl Tetraisosterate, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer,Myristyl Myristate, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Butylene/Ethylene/Styrene Copolymer, Ubiquinone, Propylheptyl Caprylate, Mineral Oil, Myristyl Laurate, Bis Diglyceryl Polyacyladipate 2, Silica, VP/Eicosene Copolymer, Sodium Hyaluronate, Retinyl Palmitate, Myristyl Lactate, Cholesteryl Hydroxystearate,  Polysilicone 6, Sorbitan Sesquioleate, Ethylene/Propylene/Styrene Copolymer, Propylparaben, BHT,Tocopheryl Acetate, Squalane, Allantoin.

May Contain (+/-):, Yellow 5 Lake (CI 19140), Blue 1 Lake (CI 42090), Red 6 (CI 15850), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77499, CI 77492), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Red 28 Lake (CI 45410), Yellow 6 Lake (CI 15985).

Price:
$2.29 each (USD)

My Views on  Smokin' Hot Pink 905D:

It is a pretty pink shade and will fall into fuchsia pink family. It doesn't last really but then its not a problem as I don't expect that for $2. But it stays easily for 3-4 hrs. Swipe once for a soft pink shade and swipe 2-3 times if you want that proper fuchsia pink color on your lips. Its a matte formula, so if you have dry lips better apply a lip balm prior to applying this.

My Views on  Cherry Bomb 918D:

As you can see from the swatches, this shade literally resemble cherry bomb or wine. But its a favorite among many, like I have heard from some of my friends that they can't pass even a single day without it. But I am a pink and peach person, so I apply this one occasionally.

Pros:

- Great pigmentation
- Semi matte finish
- Inexpensive
- Wide range of colours to choose from
- Bleed and feather proof
- Glides on easily
- Doesn't feel heavy on lips

Cons :

- Packaging is not of good quality
- Not available in stores

I surely recommend these wet n wild lippies to those who are on budget and don't want to go bankrupt while satisfying there craving for more and more lipsticks. Perfect texture and long stay makes them fully adorable. Get one to experience the love :)

Maybelline baby skin instant pore eraser - Review

Maybelline baby skin instant pore eraser - Review

I love Maybelline products, for a great quality and almost everything fits in budget. I am very fond of using primers for the reason that primer brings such a great difference to overall makeup and definitely increases its staying power too. It’s a perfect base for painting your face. I have used a few primers like Kryolan and my all time favorite Benefit porefessional, but all the good reviews about Maybelline pore eraser made me try this one and it came without making a hole in my pocket. ;)

After listening so many good things about this primer, I was really excited to try on maybelline pore eraser. Read on to know where it stands on my scale:

My Views on Maybelline baby skin instant pore eraser:
Like other primers this product doesn’t claim to make makeup stay longer but to minimise the appearance of pores. But this does make your makeup stay linger, atleast little longer than usual. Best way to apply a primer is after applying your regular moisturizer and before foundation.

As it is a silicon based primer, it is not that good for oily skin and may not suit those who have an allergy for silicon based products. My skin is basically very oily, so this doesn’t really suit me. Whenever I apply this it makes my skin look greasy after few hours, which is definitely a drawback. So, for myself I need I will better stick to Kryolan and Benefit Porefessional. I will review both really soon.

Coming back to Maybelline pore eraser, when I applied it on my mum (she has normal to dry skin), it suited her really well and that day I got to know why it is a favorite among many. It definitely decreased the appearance of pores instantly and gave a smooth base for makeup. It didn’t make her face look oily but perfect and refined. A little amount is enough for a face and it can be easily applied with finger tips, may look like thick gel but glides on really well. This seemed like one of the best primers I ever used on my mum. I will recommend it to all the beauties with normal to dry skin.

Pros:
ü      - Blends easily
ü      - Suitable for normal to dry skin
ü      - No creasing or patches
ü      - Decreases the appearance of pores
ü      - Leaves skin really smooth
ü      - Very lightweight
ü      - Cute and travel friendly packaging
ü      - Inexpensive

Cons :
ü        - Silicone based
ü      - May not suit oily skin

DIY Hair Mask for healthy and strong hair

Hellos :)

I am very fond of using home made masks and peels and usually don't get enough time to do such things. But this weekend I got time to make one of my favorite hair mask with all the things available at home, all thanks to long easter holidays.

I am quite lazy in collecting the ingredients for hair or face mask and then making it, so I often use the masks available in the superstores. I guess we all do so. As I told you in my last post I have been facing a huge hair fall over last one month and my hair quality is getting poor each passing day. So all these reasons really motivated me to get time for my hair and make a good hair mask, which controls hair fall and makes hair strong and healthy too. Thankfully, all the ingredients were available at home and it was long easter weekend, so I got successful in sparing 1 holiday for my hair and of course trying on some delicious cuisine too ;)

Let's have a look at all the ingredients you need to make this hair mask:
- 1 ripe banana
- 2 eggs
- 3 tbsp raw milk
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp olive oil

Mix all the ingredients together and blend it well. Take the help of grinder or blender if you can't blend it properly with your hands. I used hand blender to get a smooth paste, otherwise banana particles irritate a lot!! The pieces get stuck to hair like crazy and never want to leave.

I think we all have these ingredients available in our kitchen. You can skip the banana if you don't have it. Also it is tough to remove the banana residue even after wash. You will need to comb your hair when dry with a narrow toothed comb. Well, even then there will be some residue in hair. So better skip it, if you don't have off another day :P

I took two eggs as I have long hair, so if you have short hair, you will need only one egg.

If you are having difficulty in finding all the ingredients at your home. Try this very simple DIY. For this you will need:
- 2 eggs
- 2 tbsp olive oil

Just grab these two ingredients and mix well. I don't think this can be simpler than this. And I find it easier to do this one as compared to the one above. No blender, no combing, no residue.

How to apply:

You can try any of the DIY mentioned above. Mix all the ingredients well and apply with the help of brush or cotton, from root to tip of hair. Make sure you cover whole scalp and hair length.

Cover your hair with a shower cap and leave for 20-30 minutes. Then wash it away with a mild shampoo and there you go.

Tips:

*I would suggest not to try this hair mask before any special occasion or party as there may be some residue left in your hair or there may be smell of egg.

*Never wash your hair with hot water, as it will increase hair fall and this will also make your hair look dull and lifeless.

*Never use any harsh shampoo on your hair and always use a conditioner after shampooing your hair.

*For best results apply this mask at least once a week.

I hope this DIY was useful to you. Do try it and let me know how did you find it.

Lotsa love
Ritcha :*

A glimpse of my Easter weekend - OOTD special post

Easter is all about new beginnings, about hope. Easter holidays are all about making plans, meeting friends, long drives and more and more outings and celebration. Though I didn't have any such plan, except enjoying each and every day yet we went to different places and yes not to forget those amazing long drives with coffee stops. :)

Today's post is a brief of my Easter weekend and the places I went. So, in this post you will get to see Victoria, through my lens.

You will see a lot of variation in clothing as it is in the atmosphere. While it was 30 one day, it reached 14 the other. So you need to check weather before stepping out your home and still it can ditch you anytime. So be prepared for cold winds, rain and harsh sun too. It is like that only. Still I love it :)

First day we went to London Bridge, Portsea. London bridge at the Portsea ocean is a sandstone stack on the beach and is the most northern in Mornington Peninsula. You can access the beach via a steep ramp and can also explore rock pools, but only during low tide.

As we really wanted to see rock pools but the day we went, there were only high tides and thus no rock pool was visible to us. But we had great fun there, enjoyed the sun and little adventures.

Next day, it was a sudden plan of a long drive to Brisbane Ranges National Park. Not to mention, a national park is a place where you may get to see habitat animals and birds. Though we didn't reacg the national park yet we get to see few birds and Kangaroos during our drive. And I love to see landscapes, the view here is like a boon for the eyes.

Other day was a planned one, as I wanted to see this place for a long time, 12 Apostles (Great Ocean Road). It was almost a 3.5 hour drive from Melbourne but the view was worth every bit of it. It felt magnificent to witness world famous twelve Apostles from bare eyes. But the weather didn't favour us that day and it started raining only after a few minutes of reaching there. So I was not able to take much pictures at this most beautiful place. But I will definitely visit this place again as there is so much to see and the more you see it the more you love it.

On the last day of the weekend I was in no mood to go anywhere but relax. But after having our brunch my husband asked me to go for a drive to Geelong. I said ummm alright. Then on the way he told me that we are going to the Lake Connewarre which is located on the Bellarine Peninsula.
I: Oh!! but I am in no mood to walk.
He: Its a lake, we don't need to walk much.
I: If its just a lake, then what is there to see!!
He: We will have coffee with a view and birds around us.
I: Aww now that sounds some sense to me and refreshing indeed **smile**

So this was all about my Easter weekend. Though I wanted to come up with this post earlier but didn't get time to put it all together. Hope you guys enjoyed the post and yes one thing I learnt from all these trips that who makes most delicious coffee here, in Victoria :P hehehe, well for that check out my instagram. ;)

Love ya all
Have a blessed week ahead.

Simple spotless skin triple action face wash

I am feeling really fresh and amazing after very long Easter weekend. Went to different places, had fun and great food ofcourse, that's the key to my energy. I love food, a big foodie I am and it feels great that I havefinally found a great Indian restaurant near my place, in Melbourne. Men, I swear by their Chaat, it so delicious and best chaat I had till date in Melbourne. I am vegetarian, so I have limited options to try on and this place is pure vegetarian and serves awesome Indian food that too at very reasonable price.

My Views on Simple spotless skin triple action face wash :
I liked this face wash. It suited my oily skin quiet well and is good for sensitive skin as well. It contains small granules so I often used to scrub it on face first and then wash it away. I found it good as compared to other face washes I have tried within same budget. My skin didn't break out and infact it controlled my pimples to a little extent but not much. For acne and pimple prone skin, I will recommend only Cetaphil Cleanser. Still you can give Simple a try as it suits really well to some.

Pros:
 - Inexpensive
 - Suitable for sensitive skin
 - No artificial colour or perfume
 - Dermatologically tested and approved
 - Does not cause breakouts
 - Cleanses skin very well

Cons :
 - Not very effective for pimple prone skin

Overall Rating:
 3.5/5
