Lacura beauty mineral cream blush in 11 soft coral review and FOTD

Lacura beauty is a German Skincare Range which is available at all ALDI stores. One of the main reason that made me try this blush and few other lacura products is that these products are not tested on animals and most of the products are parabin free, as I am not sure about all but only those I have.

These days I am more on trying phase, like I love to try new cosmetics and beauty products. But I still love my evergreen MAC, morphe, estee lauder and many other products. Still unless you try you never know which product is going to take a permanent place in your vanity. So, the formula is simple- keep on trying.

But it is risky sometimes as some products may cause allergy or breakouts and might not suit you. And as I have very sensitive and acne prone skin it's too risky for me to try on new  products. This being the main reason, I prefer to stay away from cream blushers.

But as this product claims to be paraben free and mineral based, it was successful in insisting me for trying it.

What the brand says:

Though this blush is uber cheap yet I noticed that the brand has not compromised with the quality of packaging. I found the quality of outer box not that good but the blusher pot was really cute. This cream blusher comes in a transparent glass pot with a black cap, as you can see in pictures. The packaging is quiet sturdy, rich and travel friendly. I said rich as for the price you are paying you should not expect too much and this is indeed more than the expectations.

My Views on Lacura beauty mineral cream blush in 11 soft coral :

Well I was little scared while trying on this cream blush as I have been suffering through a bad skin phase for last few days. But when I tried this product it did not cause me any breakouts, so I can say that it is a quality product which will suit sensitive skin too, until and unless you are allergic to any of the ingredient. It is easy to apply but it lasts only for 4-5 hours and little less in humid weather. This pretty soft coral shade provides a very fresh pinkish coral color to the cheeks.

If you have oily skin then you should avoid using this, specially in summers as it does smudge. But for dry skin beauties, it is a lovely blusher to try and really affordable. If you are looking for a normal budget blusher then it's a good one but I would not buy it again as I am not really a fan of cream blushers.

Pros :

- Soft pink colour
- Inexpensive
- Sturdy and travel friendly packaging
- Perfect for dry to normal skin

Cons :

- Availability
- Might not suit oily skin

Bornprettystore Addiction and Haul

I guess I am getting addicted to this website. They have all kind of stuff and so affordable prices that it doesn't pinch to buy something for even trying. I was so happy with my last haul from bornprettystore that I keep surfing this site for more and more products. But yes, it is so tempting that you have to control yourself.

So now I placed another order with bornpretty :P. I admit that it is really hard to control when you get everything for such cheap prices, but then I had to stop somewhere na!! Bankruptcy is also not good....right :).

What all I got this time, have a look -

This waterproof black eye liner pen is perfect for those cat eyes and thin lines. Its ultra smooth formula provides the precision of a liquid liner and I liked the quality too, as it did not cause any irritation to my eyes.
Price - $4.34

Disposable mascara and gloss wands are a must for makeup artists. So, I ordered these disposable lip brushes from bornpretty store. These are best used to apply lip gloss and lip stains. It can also be used to apply concealer around mouth and nose. These are so cheap, that you can easily throw these after every use.
Price: USD $4.36 for 50 wands

These round powder puff pads are a must have tool for beauty makeup. These are perfect for applying powder and to protect makeup while you wear this on finger.
Price: USD $3.22 for 5Pcs/set

This stainless steel eyelash curler is perfect choice to curl eyelashes, specially to curl outer lashes. It is a rule of thumb to curl lashes before applying mascara as it makes lashes look longer while curving them upwards.
Price: USD $2.78

The stuff looks good and all this came at a cost of  $10 (approx) is again a great thing. At least, the splurging doesn't make me feel guilty.

Hope you like my haul. You can check my previous bornpretty haul here. Do have a look on Bornprettystore website. I am sure you will find some enticing products there, if nothing else, then their nail art stuff is unavoidable.

All "" readers can avail a 10% off on any of the item on BornPrettyStore by using coupon code RCHT10. Hurry up and place your order.

Happy Shopping

Glassy Junction Cafe/Bar/Restaurant - Review

Glassy Junction Cafe/Bar/Restaurant at Malvern - Review
I always prefer preparing breakfast on weekends for my hubby. But there are few days when I feel lazy to cook and suggest him to take me out for breakfast. :P I love to eat and trying different places to eat. I am a big foodie and need to eat in every mood and situation. I have tried many Restaurants in Melbourne.

This saturday, I had an appointment with doctor and then there was a plan to go and witness some great scenic view. So, we decided to go out for the breakfast and try some new restaurant this time. There it was, Glassy Junction, situated at Malvern, which is a bar, cafe and a fine dining restaurant offering Indo-Chinese, Indian, Fusion, Muglai and Street Food. This restaurant also provides Asahi tap bear and Shisha.

The sitting was fine and I liked it hygienically too. The decor is not worth talking about but I really liked the way they have decorated the counter area, near entrance.

We reached there around 11a.m. Then after 5-10 minutes, the guy came to us and asked what we would like to eat i.e; breakfast or what. I always prefer Indian food over any other cuisine. We told him that we would like to have breakfast, so he came with a menu which only had few items printed on it, with only 1-2 vegetarian dishes and rest of the dishes were non vegetarian. Did I tell you I am vegetarian, pure one, not even eggs? Yes, I am hard core vegetarian. Well coming back to the menu, none of the items on the menu tempted me to try. No Indian dish was there in breakfast menu. So, we called the guy again and told him that we need something Indian like Chhole bhature. His statement was, "that's why I asked if you want breakfast or something else".  How could we, usually every Indian restaurant has Chhole bhature in breakfast menu!! Anyways he came again with another menu and then vanished away and we waited unacknowledged for almost 10 minutes, then he came to take the order only after we called him.

Glassy Junction Cafe/Bar/Restaurant at Malvern - Review

We placed our order for one plate chhole bhature and one plate aloo poori. Typical Indian na :P But what to do, I love Indian junk food or you may say street food. Now we were eagerly and hungrily waiting for our order to arrive. Ofcourse we were not expecting out food to arrive within 10 minutes but it was not there even after 20 minutes of placing the order. So, my hubby went up to the counter to ask the guy how much time it will take!! As we were getting really late and already spent more than 30 minutes there for no good reason. The guy said that sir, we were not expecting an order of chhole bhature at the time of breakfast, so it is taking time. I liked his honesty but this is not the way to run a restaurant my dear. It was already 12 and a restaurant which is open since 7a.m. is not expecting a complete order. I do not really get it.

Finally our order arrived after a very long wait. Our hunger had reached great heights by that time. Bhatura and poori (Indian fried bread) looked very oily, otherwise it has never been so at any other restaurant. I took one bite of bhatura and after putting it in my mouth...ummm was so delicious that I forgot everything. Then it was aloo poori's turn..yum yum. Both the dishes were really very delicious and satisfied taste buds really well.

They serve aloo poori and chhole bhature with pickle and cucumber raita (yogurt). There was no salad or onions, which is a must with this kind of food. He also gave us tissue papers/napkins only when we asked for. And the restaurant was not even much busy. There were only 2  tables occupied except ours. But yes we really enjoyed the food as it was really delicious. The flavour of Chhole (chickpea curry) was so good and original.

After finishing the food, when we were paying at the counter, the guy told us that the other guy who accompanies him in running the business is sick and therefore he is having tough time in managing everything. Finally, we got a genuine reason for the delay in everything. I will definitely prefer take away from this restaurant than dine in. As it was my first experience and I did not find anything good except the flavour of the food, if we ignore the super greasy Bhature.

The other time we ordered Dal Makhni and naan for takeaway and there was no salt in dal. Also, there were no pickle, curd, onion or anything, like all other restaurant give.

$50 for two people (approx.)

7 AM to 11 PM

- Fine ambience
- Great hygine
- Bar and sheesha also available
- Inexpensive
- Home delivery
- Outdoor sitting is also available
- Opens at 7a.m.

- Takeaway rates are different than dine in
- Very slow service
- Average taste
- No complimentary item is served with food like onion etc.

Overall Rating:

I would not recommend it for dine in or take away too, as my experience with same was not good in both the cases.

DIY Natural homemade face scrub for acne marks, pigmentation & skin discoloration

I had huge acne problem when I was a teenager and I used to hate it as these used to leave the scars and marks behind. I too wanted to have that flawless skin which most of my friends had. I went to many dermatologists and also tried many home remedies but nothing worked. Dermatologist used to say that these are due to hormonal changes, which happen during teenage so no particular medicine can cure it.

Then I entered my twenties with all the acne scars :P Alas!! Again I got hit by chicken pox last year, all those who read my other blog "myglossyaffair" know how much did I suffer from it. If you are new, you can read about it here "Worst horror of my life - chickenpox". My case was so severe that even when I got well, I was again left with so many chickenpox scars, specially on face.

I know that a beautiful heart is more important than a beautiful face, but I love makeup. And with all those scars, I had to work a lot only for base and it was very time consuming too. So, I started to look something which can cure my remaining acne scars and chickenpox marks too. It was like trial and error as not all the remedies which are given online really work.

So, today I am sharing with you the recipe of Oats face scrub/ face mask which really worked for me. It helps lighten and remove acne scars, chicken pox marks, pigmentation, remove tanning, skin discoloration and also many other skin problems.

It is very easy to use with all the ingredients available at home. What you need to make this scrub:

- Oats/oatmeal
- Raw milk or warm water

DIY Natural homemade face scrub for acne marks, pigmentation & skin discoloration

DIY Natural homemade face scrub for acne marks, pigmentation & skin discoloration

That's all. you don't need to gather too many ingredients.Take almost 2 tbsp raw oats or oats flour and soak it in warm water. If you have dry skin then you can use warm milk instead of water. Keep it aside to cool down.

How to apply:

- Apply it onto your face, focusing on the scars and gently rub for 5-10 minutes.
- I prefer to apply it all over my face and leave for 10 minutes.
- Then I scrub it onto my face using circular motions with the help of water for almost 5 minutes.
- Wash away with warm water.

Use this remedy for 1 week and you will see the difference. You can use it daily, if you are not able to use it daily prefer using at least 4-5 times a week.

Tip: If you are allergic to any of these, don't use it.

As it is working for me I thought that all my readers should get benefited from this.

As simple as that, nothing too elaborate.

I know many who suffer from acne marks/ chickenpox marks/ pigmentation and want to get rid of them or at least lighten them.

Try this simple remedy and I hope you will also get benefited from this.

Enjoy your day

Ciao :)

PS - This simple DIY has benefitted me in chickenpox marks. But for acne marks, they are very old, say almost 10 yrs and now they are not marks, they are pores. so, nothing works to fill those pores/ holes completely. But yes, this oat diy surely helped my skin look and feel better :).

Morphe 20-Color Concealer and Corrector Palette – 20 CON Review & FOTD

Morphe 20-Color Concealer and Corrector Palette

I love everything Morphe.

And on top of that,  I love correcting, concealing, contouring and highlighting!! Now that I have enrolled for a professional course in Makeup Academy of Australia, I am on the lookout of anything and everything related to makeup that catches my fancy.

One of my friend went to US and you know how It happensJ. I ordered tons of products, most of them from Morphe. Their brush set, concealer palette, separate brushes, eye shadow palettes etc etc.
It was done almost an year back but I didn’t get time to review all these goodies. Today, I start with Morphe Concealer Palette.

This palette has 20 colors in all. Great for concealing and camouflaging, light weight and natural finish. 12 of the colors are base colors meant for different complexions.

Morphe 20-Color Concealer and Corrector Palette

8 colors are for correcting, contouring, highlighting etc.

·Lavender – used to minimize yellow imperfections. Also helps in concealing very dark under-eye circles or dark spots.

·         Mint Green – counteracts redness or pinkness caused from rosacea, blemishes or capillaries around nose and cheek area.

·         Pink – helps minimize circles, not whitens them.

·         Light Orange – used to counteract blue tones in skin, which can be under eye circles, those with fair to medium skin tend to have circles that have a blueish tint.

·         White – used as highlighter to add sheen to cheekbones, nose, eyes, etc.

·         Pale yellow – used to conceal bluish bruises, under eye circles, mild red tones on face, sun damage, pregnancy mask, dark spots & green veins.

·         Salmon – helps to liven up over all skin tone and balance out slight discolorations, also good for bluish under eye circles.

·         Dark brown – contour

This palette is typical of Morphe lookswise – black plastic case with Morphe written over it. The palette comes wrapped in a bubble wrap and then the carton to keep it intact. The colors and the lid have a separation of thin transparent plastic sheet.

Morphe 20-Color Concealer and Corrector Palette

Morphe 20-Color Concealer and Corrector Palette

My Views Morphe 20-Color Concealer and Corrector Palette –

I am in awe of Morphe these days. Their eye shadow palettes are just incomparable and the cost is so justified that you can’t even complain of anything. I wanted a conceal and contour palette for me to try out on myself and on others too for practice. Hence, I didn’t want to shell out big money like for MAC professional palette. So, I bought this.

How I find it!!

Oh, I am perfectly satisfied with the quality of this palette. The color choice is good. It has something for everyone and then, a lot of mix and match scope. The quantity seems a bit less though.
The texture is fine but after application, it turns a bit oily, so you have to keep loose setting powder handy depending upon the hours you want it to stay put. For 2-3 hrs, no problem. Even after that, loose powder helps for say, 6-7hrs easily.

Don’t get fooled by the price tag of Morphe, the products are just awesome. This conceal and contour palette is one such example. It fulfills my desire of contouring perfectly. It takes care of under eye darkness as well as that white color for highlighting. All good.

Pros –

Good range of colors for concealing and correcting.
White cream highlighter is equally good.
The quality is great.
Easy to apply and blend.
Light weight.
Colors can be easily mixed and matched to your skin tone.
Neutralizes under eye circles and conceals them.

Cons –

More on creamier side, little oily but then, that makes the colors super blendable and mixable.

Overall Rating –

I would surely recommend this palette to all who want to go for contouring or conceal/contour palette. Excellent product for such a genuine price. And yes, it suits my oily skin well :).

My tip –

Use primer first and then do whatever you like with this palette but end with setting up all with a loose fixing powder for that longgggg lasting stay.

My Born Pretty Store Haul And Review

Hey friends :)

Life is a bit hectic these day. I have to keep my eyes and brain open almost all the time. Why?

I am doing my Professional Makeup Artist Course from Academy of Makeup (Gorgeous Cosmetics) and hence, I need all the alertness these days. The learning, the doing, practicing plus the theory portion. But, since I am following my passion, I would say I am enjoying every bit of it.

Since practicing involves lot of expensive cosmetics (my packet L) plus lots of disposable stuff, I thought of going to the cheaper side. I am talking about the very famous BornPrettyStore.

So, I chose some products and placed my 1st order with  The best thing about this website is that they offer free shipping, no matter what  the actual cost of order is. Isn’t that amazing!! Shipping of $$$$$$ kills me when I want to buy products worth $2-5.

What I got-

1.       Makeup Sponge (beauty blender dupe)

I agree it can’t compare to the original one. But those who have used it don’t write this off either. It is quite usable and it bears my rough practicing hands easily :P. Actually, it is good enough, doesn’t wear out easily and gives a good blending. Isn’t the colour of my beauty blender too pretty :).
Price - $ 2.39

2.       Mascara Wands

Oh, these are required in bulk. Like 1 for each person.  It has to be disposed off after every single use. The quality is as good as any other mascara wand, so it is indeed a smart purchase. These are quite usable and so affordable :).
Price - $ 4.04 for 50pcs

3.    Charming Lash

This pack contains 56 individual lashes. The lashes come in varying sizes. You can choose them as per your requirement or as per your original lashes to create a more natural look. If you are using these on your own eyes, you can reuse them but in my case, since I use them for professional reason and practice, these are one time use. Hence I got these inexpensive ones but good ones.
Price - $ 2.54

This is all I got this time to check the quality and stuff. I am not disappointed but happy that I got so many good usable things at such an affordable price. These are all disposable items and didn’t burn a hole in my pocket. I would recommend bornpretty store to all my friends who are into makeup and need all such stuff for practicing or who are low on budget. Next on my list is some disposable  liquid lipcolor brushes and some nail art material. And of course some makeup wedges. I would again share with you all what I get.

All "" readers can avail a 10% off on any of the item on BornPrettyStore by using coupon code RCHT10

Till then,

Don’t forget to share your shopping haul with me :)
